Nomads and disenchantment: the identikit young people in front of the media
The leap forward in the use of Internet by young Italians aged between 14 and 29 years was enormous: between 2003 and 2007, the total audience (one or two contacts to week) decreased from 61% to 83% of young people, and the habitual use (at least three times a week) from 39.8% to 73.8%.
But the investigation of the relationships between young people and media created for the 7th Report on the communication Censis / UCSI a general increase in the use of all media. No wonder so much that the phone is used by virtually all young people (97.2%), but noted that 74.1% of them read at least one book a year (obviously excluding school textbooks) and 62.1 % more than three books. The
77.7% of young people read a newspaper (paid or free press) once or twice a week (59.9% in 2003), while 57.8% read at least three newspapers a week. The magazines have a total audience of 50% of young people (it was 44% in 2003). And the decrease is in the use of traditional television (from 94.9 to 87%, 9%) is broadly offset by known in recent years by satellite TV (from 25.2% to 36.9% of young).
Gender differences have been greatly reduced but not canceled. The subjects overall average (frequency to once or twice weekly), females listen to more radio (90.3% compared with 83, 1% of males) and read most of the period (55.2 % versus 45.3%), males instead read more newspapers (80, 4% versus 74.6% girls) and watch more TV satellite (39.9% versus 33, 6%).
More marked differences appear to be rather related to the different age groups. The very young, between 14 and 18, are the most voracious consumers media, but with two important exceptions: newspapers and radio. If the data reported on listening to the radio to all young people (an increase of the total users are from 82, 8 to 86%, 5%), in the range 14-18 years has fallen to 78.9 %. Are the same functions and technologies of language radio to be deeply changed, because the "soundtrack" of the day of a teenager now consists of pod-cast and mp3 downloads from the network, mobile phones and players also used, such as radio, playlist exchanged through blogs.
This is an example of a tendency to nomadism and the disenchantment that characterizes the life experience of the younger generation in the digital world in which it passes from one medium to another without paying much attention to his nature. It increased the number of media and it is increasingly difficult to distinguish between the media, especially thanks to the Internet. Young people are at ease in this context and have developed strategies to adapt. "The variety of available media leads them to switch between them - by that Giuseppe Roma, director general of Censis - according to a nomadic media disenchantment that accompanies the lack of a true hierarchical perspective in the media." In other countries people range from the usual 89, 3% in Germany, 83, 9% in Britain, 83, 7% in Spain, to drop to 73.8% in France.
For young British and German Internet plays a more important role than in Italy, since the routine use of the network reaches 77.7% in Britain and in Germany 76.5% (against 73.8% in Italy). The English and French guys do not only use the Internet less (respectively 69.5% and 65.7%), but also read fewer books of European contemporaries, at least three books a year for 43.3% of Spaniards and 48.1% of the French, compared to 60.7% in Germany, 62.1% to 64.5% of the Italians and the British.

How about if we talk some of our relationship with the "beloved" or mobile phone to be more precise, with sms? well .. what to say ... now occcupano a substantial portion of our days, we spend hours and hours texting and we are there with gasp every time expect a text message from your loved one, have long since replaced the Christmas wishes, those of a happy birthday. Appointments are taken now to sms, sms approaches are made for and now it comes to texting parents when children do not attend school. TECHNOLOGY invade us!! Use text messaging to get news, the weather, the horoscope but the thing that should make us think more is that we communicate our feelings with acronyms entrusting the dots all the nuances that make it interesting instead of the verbal expressions. The I LOVE YOU no longer say but you write text messages to and writes thus: "TVB" I love you so like that it has become now a symbol "tat." and not to mention other words that are quite abbreviated sms: "xkè" "ke you" "where 6", but not limited to, written with a smile :-) facets and the kiss is one of the most beautiful demonstrations of love turns into a simple smack. Other than pen and paper as in the days of our grandparents, romantic serenades, cards and letters with words of love, now also the sentiments following the technology and some studies have shown that even the phone is to prevent direct contact during the most delicate, such as to put an end to a love story. But we can still look in the eye and perhaps to excite us so much, Nenci not able to pronounce the words properly?!? I want to be confident and hope that you do not miss out on the most beautiful emotions of life: those that even a simple glance or a smile can convey!

I wanted to post this video because I was very impressed with the deep meaning of these images, I think that reflects our reality and our being more inclined to hide behind the screen of a PC or mobile phone for express a simple word or worse for expressing our feelings and thus preclude us what is the best thing about every relationship, friendship or love, which is: physical contact, words accompanied by a caress, a hug, from any gesture of affection, the look in his eyes. The technology, which has brought many advantages in communication, in my opinion has altered the relationships, for us today is easier to communicate with a simple messaggino or through a chat that speak directly to the person concerned, and this, as evidenced by the video, it can also be bad because it can lead to feel "helpless" and get into trouble and embarrassment if instead of the screen of your PC your eyes met with another. 1986: The year I was born exactly 26 August (NB I have stated just because I want the best wishes from all)
1997: start my relationship with technology, if the report can speak first because I was not fascinated by the virtual world, it felt far from me. I do not remember the exact names of the games but I remember that my cousins \u200b\u200bhad just bought Super Nintendo and I had so much fun to play with them.
1998: my beloved parents gave me for Christmas Day, a desktop computer, which I will keep in my bedroom for many years. Initially I use it just to make drawings, write documents, I learn how to use word and paint a big deal for me as I continue to feel this world ncora away from me.
1999: my father ragala my first phone and since that day I never left, it becomes a must-have item in my life, but surely it is still less than in years of high school.
2003: I attend high school for three years now and I begin to relate to the world of the Internet, initially out of necessity or for more study. Using the web to research school and soon after I create my first account on free to chat with my friends, but little use.
2005: there's the long-awaited state examinations more frequently and use the computer and internet, to do my research and writing my dissertation.
2005/2006: the path starts most impotant in my life, I'm in my first year in college and I attend a computer course with Professor Castrofino. Learn to use Word, Access and Excel.
2006/2007: sophomore year, I attend the course in Computer Science 2, again with the prof. Castrofino and learn to use HTML to create a website. A very interesting course that I particularly appossianata. In the same year, I created my account on msn and not a day where, even for five minutes, I log in there to check my mail.
2007/2008: My father gave me the laptop, a great convenience, it completely replaces the old computer. Attending the computer course with prof. De Pietro and using MS-Access we are engaged in designing a database, learn to create tables, such indviduare types of fields, keys and relationships, to create forms for entering data in all tables and create queries and reports. I begin this course with difficulty because I did not know well this program, now I can say I use it with ease.
2008/2009: attend the course in digital environments, with prof. Conversely program download google talk and create a Gmail account. I create my first blog olgalopasso.blogspot.com. In my blog I wanted to discuss a topic at present, the morbid relationship of young people with the media, especially the relationship with the Internet, which replaced the old relationships and has become a company of which we can not do more for less.
